New year, new stuff!

Hey all! I’m just popping in with a quick update to the Studio VOXYZ Storenvy store!

I was recently able to purchase a MUCH better printer and better charm materials, so I’ve updated all the charm and keychain stock. Aiko’s design has also been updated to her new look!

In addition, I’m currently working on some small 5×8″ print designs, as well as the charm designs for Aiko’s “winter” costume and the other Kikyuunes, which should all be available in the coming week or 2.

Happy (slightly late) New Year’s, and here’s to a fun and productive 2017! ovo/

Welcome back, Ariella!

MoonCrafter is back and working with us again, and Ariella has some new voicebanks in the works!

Moon and I met back in 2009 when I found her UTAU on deviantART, and we’ve been good friends ever since. I’m super excited to be helping her finally rerecord! I’ve added Ariella’s profile page under “Z: Affiliated UTAU” though it’s a bit bare at the moment.

You can hear the duet demo with her work-in-progress (currently monopitch) CVVC Japanese below, and the UST for “Catastrophe” is also now up on the USTs/VSQs page!

VOCAMERICA Recap!

I arrived home from NekoCon yesterday early morning, but I was far too exhausted to properly recount anything about the weekend for a coherent blog post. It’s still difficult for me to put everything into words as the whole VOCAMERICA experience was actually overwhelming.

I cannot thank everyone enough for their support: Aki for including Aiko in the concert and allowing me to assist her at the exhibitor booth (which was a FANTASTIC experience), Agatechlo and KK and Iris and Joe and everyone else I met at the con for being such wonderful friends and supporters, and Pandemic for being there in spirit and surprising Aki with such a fun gift at the VIP hangout. I couldn’t have asked for a better NekoCon.

I unfortunately did not film the concert (for one, at that point my phone was nearly full anyway and I also wanted to fully experience the first VOCAMERICA performance) but videos have been cropping up on Twitter and YouTube already.

Shinji, the tech manager for the show, posted his videochat footage from Aki’s phone. Aki herself filmed the entire concert with a camera & tripod, so you can expect footage to be posted within the next few weeks, and even sooner if you were a Kickstarter backer.

Also RoboticReptile1 on Twitter captured footage of the 3 CrusherP songs in the concert: “Biohazard”, “Wildfire!!” and “ECHO”. I still can’t believe I got to see Aiko perform on stage and I’m not ashamed to say I cried like a proud mom.

The concert itself went off without a single technical hitch, with an estimated 800-1000 person audience. It was an incredible success, if the merch line post-concert was any indication! Aki and her staff worked incredibly hard and the end result was well worth the wait. Here’s to many more VOCAMERICA concerts in the future! Remember, if you want to see VOCAMERICA at a local convention in your area, contact that convention’s event staff and express your interest!

I’ve finally managed to finish a holiday video on time! Have a cover of a song filled with horror movie references.

Also, with VOCAMERICA just around the corner, I’m preparing for my trip to Nekocon! My UTAU panel proposition was unfortunately rejected, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to try to organize a VocUTAU hangout at the con like usual! The day of the concert I’ll be helping out Aki whenever I can. Just keep an eye out for the girl in the VOCAMERICA tshirt, black hoodie, and black cadet hat with pins on it!

Aiko VOCAMERICA Model Revealed!

YoiStyle and AkiGlancy have revealed Aiko’s MMD model that will be used in the VOCAMERICA concerts!

The model will only be available privately and to those who purchased a high enough tier in the VOCAMERICA kickstarter.

Below is the life-size banner design that will eventually be ordered for the concerts!

Website updates!

Pachi and I have been hard at work on fixing up the Studio VOXYZ website! Updates and bug fixes include a fully responsive layout (though some page content still needs to be fixed to look nicer on mobile) and a brand new banner, which includes the unreleased UTAU characters Hanga CYE, Ashley, and Shinchuune Bunko. These UTAU’s voicebanks are currently in production, with CYE slated for release around the end of November.
