Minor Update + February Features

Sorry for the inactivity lately! I’ve been to 2 conventions, been stranded by snow, come down with bronchitis and all sorts of other things over the past couple of weeks. Needless to say, I haven’t gotten much done in the way of finishing and releasing Aiko’s CVVC… I deeply apologize for how long it’s taking. However, I’d like to announce that the Kikyuune Family album project is reaching its final wrap-up, and I’ll be posting more information about that this next week!

Without further ado, here are February’s features! As always, if I’ve missed anything, please let me know; this is all from YouTube, deviantART and Pixiv by searching the Kikyuune tag. (I currently don’t include SoundCloud because its search system is a bit questionable and I’ve missed a LOT before)

Thunderstorm cover by Choccoleit

First, a cover of one of CIRCRUSH’s Cyber Diva demos, using Aiko English! This was Choccoleit’s first released UST, and they did an amazing job both in the cover and video~ Awesome work!





We Are The Crystal Gems cover by Purin

Purin covered the Steven Universe theme song with Aiko, Iris, Yume and Nolia! Aiko sings Steven’s part and this cover is just so cute! (Also, Steven Universe is a great show and everyone should watch it aaaa)

First Akihiko cover in a long while and it sounds fantastic! Thank you so much, Pretz123 and everyone in Team-Y! I’ll have to show this one to my dad.

Admittedly, I’m VERY late on this, but in my defense a lot of things happened this month and seeing as I’m stuck in a hotel out of my home state due to snow, I might as well get this posted! These are all the videos and art I could find for the month of January that use Kikyuune voicebanks or characters, by searching the “kikyuune” tag on multiple sites.

Flickering Escape by DystoP (Adlez27)

First up is an original song! It’s a darker electronic-y tune by DystoP, one of the participating artists in a very exciting project that should finally be unveiled in the next month or so.

Haru.jpg used Aiko to cover one of Luo Tianyi’s first songs using English translyrics, and they made an amazing video to go with it!

Retiring CV-VV Voicebanks Soon

Just a minor announcement. I’ve been testing my CVVC bank as straight CV, and seeing as it’s working quite well, I’ll be officially retiring CV-VV once I finish these voicebanks.

CV-VV PopMellow will not be recorded and will instead be pushed to the CVVC production queue.

(As usual, these old banks will remain on the site for download as archive links, but will no longer be updated.)

Aiko featured on EmpathP album!

Monthly features!

Starting at the end of this month, I’m going to start doing a monthly feature post of videos (cover, original, talkloid, MMD, etc.) using Kikyuune family characters!

I really want to show my appreciation to people who have used my UTAU voicebanks, but I know I tend to be bad at posting every single time I find a video. So I’ll do my best to post a thanks at the end of the month for all the videos I find on YT and Nico for that time period!

(Once I finish updating the other UTAU XYZ core voicebanks and get the main utau.xyz website set up, I’ll transition over to including EVERYONE in the X and Y series!)

I haven’t featured a cover video using Aiko in a while, but I came across this cover (on Soundcloud a while ago, actually) and I’m just so impressed by the whole thing I wanted to share it!

This is a cover of kz/livetune’s famous “Tell Your World” in 6 different languages: Cantonese, English, Spanish, Esperanto, Japanese and German! Aiko sings the English section.
