Recording Updates~
Since I have no access to my usual library studio over the summer (unlike last summer) I’ll be trying to set up a makeshift recording booth in my closet.
Wish me luck, and if everything goes well, we might see VCV “RockLoud” Aiko (and maybe CV “BalladSoft”) in time for her birthday.

Fuusenne Aiko
April Fools~! This was my prank for this year xD
Fuusenne was created from running Aiko’s V.4.1 voicebank through Garageband with the “Helium Voice” effect applied. She’s rather chipmunky, and her design (by Chulaentertainment) can be seen here:

There’s a bit of a story behind her name: originally, when Aiko (Kikyuune) was first created, I used the “Melt” UST to demo her voice and I was surprised at how high-pitched she sounded. I figured that was the effect of UTAU itself (didn’t know about flags at the time) so I named Aiko “balloon-sound” and attributed helium balloons to her as her character item. Unfortunately… I’d used the wrong word. “Kikyuu” in fact means hot-air balloon, whereas “fuusen” means helium balloon.

Aiko’s Third Anniversary will be July 10th! I’m planning a few things for it, so even though I might not be able to finish the voicebanks I’ve wanted, there will still be some new things for you guys to use =u=
Also, my momloid, Akiko, is nearly complete! She’s just lacking official art~ I’m planning to release her on my mom’s birthday, June 26th. Look forward to it 😀

Thanks so much to Shinji, a.k.a. the guy behind VLPProject01 and 39diyMMDConcert, for accepting my video request! He shot a video of a life-size projection of Aiko performing her cover of Aiko Aiko ☆ Fire Endless Night!
For those of you who don’t know, Shinji’s goal is to promote technology (cheap and easily-accessed stuff, at that) that could be applied to future Vocaloid concerts (even other homegrown projects like this)! Check out the channels I linked above, they’re awesome 😀

It’s been a while since I’ve posted here, since I’ve been pretty busy. But I have a few things I want to share c:
Firstly, the patriarch of the Kikyuune Family, Akihiko, has been released!

Secondly, the domain name of the site is now kikyuune.utauxyz.net! That’s right, I bought a domain name to use for all Project UTAU XYZ web stuffs~ I’m looking forward to get back into coding, and I plan to abandon both UTAU XYZ blogspots once I’ve got my own site up and running, most likely with wordpress integration or something of the like.
