Recording Progress – Day 1
Started working on Aiko’s complete “RockLoud” voicebank! Each voice type will be finished in turn to the best quality I can manage, and since her loud voice is the easiest for me to record that one gets done first!
“RockLoud” will consist of the following tripitch voicebanks, in order of recording priority:
>> CV Japanese
>> VCV Japanese
>> CV VC English
>> AmEn “CV” English
>> Tagalog + Spanish
Below is a brief resampler test. Already, Aiko’s more consistent recordings are making it possible for her to utilize all 4 most popular resamplers, making me a very very very happy Myst ;A;
In order: default resampler with Y0 flag, fresamp, TIPS, M4
Good news!
My closet has turned out to be the best recording booth I ever could have hoped for ;A;
Therefore, there WILL be new Aiko voicebanks in time for her 3rd anniversary!
Huzzah!!
Recording Updates~
Since I have no access to my usual library studio over the summer (unlike last summer) I’ll be trying to set up a makeshift recording booth in my closet.
Wish me luck, and if everything goes well, we might see VCV “RockLoud” Aiko (and maybe CV “BalladSoft”) in time for her birthday.
Introducing – Kikyuune Akihiko!
After 3 years, Aiko and Akio are getting parents~!
Kikyuune Akiko has been planned for quite some time, though I’ve never had a good enough mic on my own to record her properly from my own mother. But since I got a Yeti (thank you, mom!) for Christmas, and I ended up visiting my dad for a couple of days, I decided to see how he might sound as well.
You can see how that recording session went…
But thanks to the Yeti, his samples turned out nice and clear, if accented ^^;
His first (and probably only)voicebank should be released soon and includes several joke samples xD
